Stockholm Fashion Week Day 3

Better late then never... This post was supposed to be published three weeks ago but a crazy amount of work and thousands of photos to go through was putting a stop to that. But here it is - the third and last day of Stockholm Fashion Week which started off with Minimarket at Berns Salonger. The collection, which is inspired by illusionists such as Houdini, was presented together with impressive performances by sward swallowers and magicians which almost stole the attention from the beautiful clothes: long printed dresses, wide bottoms and capes, exquisite details such as sequin embroidery, handmade pleats and braids and as always at Minimarket, gorgeous shoes.

Bättre sent än aldrig... Den här posten skulle publicerats redan för tre veckor sedan men dagar proppade med jobb och tusentals bilder att sortera satte stopp för det. Men här är den - den tredje och sista dagen på Stockholm Fashion Week som startade med fin, fina Minimarket på Berns Salonger. Kollektionen, som är inspirerad av illusionister som Houdini, presenterades tillsammans med en imponerande show där svärdslukare och magiker nästan stal uppmärksamheten från de vackra kläderna: långa klänningar med vackra prints, vida byxor, caper, fantastiska detaljer som paljetter och handsydda brodyrer, och som alltid på Minimarket- fantastiska skor.

Our second stop was at the fashion Pavilion where H&M introduced the winner in their new founded design award with a big fashion show. 14 fashion colleges in 6 countries have been competing for the prize and the jury has worked thoroughly for a long time to choose a winner. This year the lucky winner was Stine Riis from Copenhagen with her collection “Decadence & Decay”. The show was great, I loved the cuts and the colour. Hopefully many of the pieces will be put into production.

Vårt andra stopp var Fashion Pavilion där H&M presenterade årets vinnare i deras nystiftade designpris med en stor modevisning. 14 designskolor i 6 länder har tävlat om priset och juryn har arbetat hårt och länge med att ta fram en vinnare. I år är den lyckliga Stine Riis från Köpenhamn med kollektionen “Decadence & Decay”. Jag gillade verkligen visningen. Fina skärningar och färger. Håller tummarna för att mycket av det kommer i produktion.

After the H&M fashion show me and Jonathan jumped on a bus to Fotografiska where the J.Lindeberg mens collection for AW12 "A Day In The Arctic" was showcased in a very intimate and exclusive presentation by the head designer Jessy Heuvelink. Beautiful tailored suits in exclusive Loro Piana fabrics, quilted shorts worn over knitted leggings (yeah, sounds wired but it actually make sense when you see the collection), down vests over sharp blazers with brightly coloured linings worn with dapper leather gloves. An amazing collection! Who knew you could look that good in the arctic?

Efter H&M's visning hoppade jag och Jonathan på bussen till Fotografiska där J.Lindeberg's kollektion "A Day In The Arctic" visades upp i en väldigt intim och exklusiv presentation av J.L's huvuddesigner Jessy Heuvelink. Kostymer i exklusiva Loro Piana tyger, quiltade dunshorts över stickade leggings (I know! Det låter helknäppt men det funkar faktiskt.), dunvästar över välskräddade blazers med färgglada foder buret tillsammans med eleganta skinnhandskar. En helt fantastisk kollektion!

After J.Lindeberg we stressed back to Berns Salonger and the much anticipated Hernandez Cornet show in the beautiful mirror hall. It was a subtle but beautiful show though I would have loved to see more of the beautiful silk prints she did so well the last season. The spring collection was one of my favourites. Hernandez Cornet is definitely a designer to keep your eyes on in the future.

Efter J. Lindeberg stressade vi tillbaka till Berns Salonger igen för att se Hernandez Cornet's efterlängtade visning i den vackra spegelsalen där modebranschen trängdes längs med väggarna. Det var en lågmäld men fin visning. Dock hade jag hoppats att få se mer av de vackra silkesprinten som hon gjorde så bra i vårens kollektion som var en av mina favoriter. Hernandez Cornet är definitivt ett märke att hålla ögonen på i framtiden!

The last and the biggest show at Stockholm Fashion Show was Tiger Of Sweden. A beautiful love story between Stockholm and Berlin, inspired by the reflection of the differences between the two cities. Lots of international press on the front row together with some of the worlds super bloggers and Axwell from Swedish House Mafia. On the wish list : the long coats! And yeah, Caroline Winberg and Frida Gustavsson did pretty good too!

Den sista och största visningen på Stockholm Fashin Week var Tiger Of Sweden. En vacker kärlekshistoria mellan Stockholm och Berlin, inspirerad av skillnaderna mellan de två städerna. Massor av internationell press på front row tillsammans med superbloggare, Axwell och Håkan Hellström. Bäst: kapporna!

When we left Tiger's show at the Fashion Pavilion it was snowing from all directions. We took cover at the Nobis Hotel where the Intersection Magazine had their launch. We browsed through the magazine, had a glass of wine (or two) , said hi to some friends and four ducks before we took a taxi over to the Old Town and...

När vi kom ut i från Tigers visning i Fashion Pavilion snöade det från alla håll och kanter. Vi tog skydd inne på Nobis Hotell där Intersection Magazine hade sin lanseringsfest. Vi bläddrade igenom tidningen, drack några glas vin, sa hej till lite kompisar och fyra ankor innan vi tog taxi vidare till Gamla Stan och...

...Le Rouge were Ida Sjöstedt was celebrating the brands 10 year anniversary. Her amazing lace dresses from all the collections through the years was hanging from the ceiling and created a magical atmosphere. While we were celebrating we took the opportunity to make a champagne toast for our birthday boy Jonathan and the end to an amazing fashion week. Six months until next time! Cheers!

...Le Rouge där Ida Sjöstedt firade märkets tioårsjubileum. I taket hängde Ida's vackra spetsklänningar från alla kollektioner hon skapat under åren. Magiskt! När det ändå skulle firas passade vi på att skåla i bubblor för Jonathan som fyllde år och att en fantastisk modevecka var över. Sex månader till nästa gång! Skål!
